About

People ask where I'm from. It's a complex answer.

I was born in Evanston, outside Chicago. I lived in Park Ridge for four years before moving to Madison, Wisc., for seven.

I spent middle and high school in Missoula, Mont., before returning to Madison for college from 1994 to 1998.

I began graduate school in Florida in 2000. In the summer of 2006, I completed my Ph.D. and moved to Chico.

I teach four courses at Chico State: Online Presentation of News and Public Relations, Internet Newspapers and Magazines, History of American Journalism, and Mass Media Writing.
