There are four categories of evaluation for web projects that are each weighted equally (25 percent):
Content: "Content is king" is an old media adage, meaning your site needs valuable content to be worthwhile. This category considers the strength of your written and image-based content based on both style and material.
Design: An online publication requires quality design as well as worthwhile content to be successful. Your projects will be evaluated for color use, balance, spacing, readability and overall attractiveness.
Navigation: Also important is the ability to find information on your site. This category considers your ability to design easy and navigation for the visitor within your site and the creation of external links.
Code: Clean, efficient use of XHTML and CSS is an essential skill that is taught in this course. You are expected to write XHTML and CSS following direction found in lab and the readings; this category evaluates the accuracy and reliability of your code.
All assignments and exams will be graded on a scale of 100. You may convert your numerical grades to letter grades based on the following scale:
92 and above = A
90-91 = A-
89-88 = B+
82-87 = B
80-81 = B-
79-78 = C+
72-77 = C
70-71 = C-
69-68 = D+
62-67 = D
60-61 = D-
below 60 = F
